Tolga is the center of the Atherton Tableland's peanut industry. Tolga, meaning 'red mud' in the local aboriginal language, includes a number of heritage-listed sites. The Tolga Markets are held the first Sunday of every month where you can find local produce, crafts, cloths and tools. The Tolga Markets is the second most popular market held on the Atherton Tableland region, only slightly smaller than the Yungaburra Markets.
